This week was full of yard work! We had 2 full days of sunshine - WHAT?!!! So we spent it outside clearing our front garden. The weeds and grass had advanced enough we decided to just dig out the top 2 inches of dirt and replace it. Our soil has a lot of clay and is a big muddy mess. We spent a good amount of time clearing some of the blackberries in the back yard. A good time was had by all.
Don't even know where to start. Mr. Roan is, and always has been, my stubborn little (big) guy. He turned 3 last Tuesday and not much has changed. He is a silly, super duper smart, and super handsome little man.
In other news....
We have had a lot going on. Jade just got done with Spring Break! We didn't get to go do all the things we wanted to. We had a case of the yuckies that we were passing around to each other. Snotty noses & and overall not feeling good all around. Everyone had a turn, except poor Jade - she was just bored. We did get to go bike riding, went to the movies a couple of times and had several play dates.
This last weekend we also sold our old Malibu. She was good to us, but started to have too many mechanical issues to list here. So we passed her off to a mechanic who is going to fix it up for his 16 year old daughter. Kind of strange to no longer own a car we have had since Jade was an infant. BUT.... we replaced it with something AWESOME. A 2005 Subaru Outback, LL Bean Edition. Chad is pretty excited. Subarus are a lot of fun to drive and this one has a sun roof, 6 disc changer, and cold weather package. Nuf said.
As with all things, good with the bad. On Thursday I took our Ford Explorer in for DEQ & failed. Booo. It had a code for a fuel level sensor, which I thought was no big deal. When we got to the dealership I found out it was kind of a huge deal. Cannot replace just the sensor because it is inside the fuel pump, so we got to replace that. Also no big deal on some cars, but on mine the gas tank has to be removed and the part is ridiculously expensive. So $821 later, all fixed up. I just have to drive the car 80 miles so it can do a learning cycle before I go to DEQ again. Hopefully I don't get pulled over, because I am a procrastinator and waited till the last minute to go in the first place - my tabs are now expired. Also found out I need new breaks. All happening 2 weeks of our planned family vacation. Lame-o.
